Rebuilt a NP231 and swapped it for my 242. I have now 4wd light now. Not a huge deal can look at the shifter, however did run down the highway for 30-40 miles in 4 high when I did not need to and did not look down. The 242 had electric connection and even with same tread, the connection is much longer. The 231 has the vacuum connection for the shift switch. Any ideas on how to make this work?
