Ohhhh 91 xj crossmember. suggestions?

so i needed to put in a new tranny mount so i was going to drop the crossmember. oh joy, of course first bolt i try snaps off. so heres where i stand. heres my question, has anyone else cut holes in the floor above the subframe where the crossmember bolts in and just drilled out the snapped bolt and replaced it all with grade 8 nuts and bolts? thanks!

I broke some of mine before too, I opted to drill and retap the holes. Holding up good so far after 5k miles

If you pull the carpet up in front of the front seats there are holes already there to access the crossmember weld nut.They will be covered with drain plugs.

I just drilled out the holes and fished hardware through the frame, but outlander's suggestion would work great if you have the means to remove the old and tack weld in a new frame nut...damn I need to learn how to weld...and get a torch. Add it to the list.
