Transmission and transfer case Swap Options.

Well I blew up the Transmission in my Jeep, Transfer case is out so its getting redone. A904 and NP229. The bell housing is a Chevy small corporate bolt pattern. Now I know that the 2.5L amc had the same bolt pattern. So with my 3.2L Chevy V6 I should be able to use a trans out of a newer Wrangler well up to 2002. Then I should be able to use the 231 transcase with no problem except new drive shafts. Ill also have to get a non disco front axle. Will this work anyone done anything like this? Any advice is welcome or criticism

Maybe it will give you some ideas. Please remember it is still in progress.

As for the axle. I've heard of people just changing the shaft to the non-disco type and the seals and blanking off the hole. Don't know details because I had the real deal already. Good luck.
