1991 XJ ENGINE GOT WET

I AM WORKING ON MY SONS 91 XJ AFTER HE PUT THE NOSE UNDER WATER.GOT IT RUNNING OK BUT THE WIPERS RUN ALL THE TIME AND WHEN YOU SHUT THE MOTOR OFF THE HEAD LIGHTS STAY ON. EVEN WITH KEY OUT 4.0 ENGINE:farmer:
 
Disconnect the battery and let it dry out for a couple of weeks. I had a 2006 Dodge Dakota that I ran thru 3 ft of water in Texas when it was a few months old, it wasn't right for about a month. It eventually dried out, had the dealer replace an O2 sensor under warranty (honest, I don't know what happened...)

Time will tell.
