How many have had wheel bearings on a rear D44

I have had fractured wheel bearings for the second time in three years on my D44. I noticed some very mild popping coming from the rear when I took off or slowed to a stop. The rollers are fractured down the center. Bearing loading with the plate is fine and the bearings are tight in the housing.

Has anybody ever run into this?

How long have they been in there? It seems like every 6 months I change one out for a grease seal failure,one side or the other.

Just an odd question but what was the manufacturer of them? Were they U.S. or other? Just asking?

They were Timken.

Is your housing bent?
How about the axle shafts?

Is your fluid level correct(are the bearings getting enough lube)?You sometimes have to adjust it based on pinion angle.
