i have a guy at work that has a d44 rear end that he is willing to sell me for $50 is that a good price it has posi also?

What is it out of? If it's an XJ D44 in good running condition it's a very good price.

what are the gears? how are the bearings, seals, r&p, spiders, etc... youre gonna have to cut a weld the spring perches too i believe. but heck, if the ratio is high like 4.10's,4.56's,4.88's with a posi, you can regear the 30 up front to match and be good with new seals and bearings...

The spring perches on my 89 grand waggy rear 44 match up perfectly to my 90xj.
