brakes and grease...

As the name implies...

I got a damn dab of grease on the friction side of one of my pads...time for new pad or no big deal?

Can I clean it off with brake cleaner-I've never used it before so I don't know. the 'dab' is about the size of the top of an eraser on a pencil. I rested the caliper on the control arm for a sec and didn't realize there was a little grease buildup on the arm.

Try the brake cleaner, I've done the same thing and just cleaned the pad with no ill efects, thats a small amount, should clean up.
Try and dawb up the grease spot, don't smear or wipe it on the pad and then use cleaner.

Break cleancer and a rag, just dab, no rub, and it will come right off.....
