I decided to tackle the rms this weekend. I have all of the bolts out of the oil pan except for the two 1/2 in bolt on either side of the rms. Haynes says to remove the transmission bell cover. Did anyone else do this? If you did...how do you do it? Haynes is a little too terse on this matter. Do you have any pictures on this part of the procedure? Any help that you can provide would be much appreciated!

You will have to remove that cover or else the pan wont want to drop out of there very well.

Its just a thin dust shield. It should be pretty obvious where it botls to the bellhousing. Two of the bolts are big (18mm??) on the bottom of the housing, but the others (only 2 more IIRC) are small. Just remove them, and slide the cover out.
