cb tweak and tune

anyone know a good spot for getting a cb tweaked and tuned in nj? im not looking for any illegal mods but i wanna make sure my set up is working at its best. I got a Cobra 19 DX IV with a firestik RG-58A/U cable and a Firestik Firlefly FL-4 antenna

Check your phone book for CB shops, and I think Radio Shack does antenna tuning. Thats were I started.

You can try any of the truck stops on RT. 55 or get on channel 19 and ask around.

Pornstar: I fail to see how that was any help.

True, this is a fairly OT subject, but it seems to be allowed from a historical standpoint.

Tuning an antenna is reasonably simple. The Firestick site is full of advice http://www.firestik.com/Tech_Docs.htm, and you can get a SWR meter from just about any Truck Stop or Radio Shack.

The biggest difference you can make in the performance of your radio is the antenna.

Don't know how far you wanna go, but I went to Chadds Ford Electronics in Painter Crossing, located in PA about 1/2 hour from the Commodore Barry Bridge.

Chadds Ford Electronics is on Hwy 322 on the right hand side about 1/2 (?) mile past the route 1 intersection.

It is a Ma & Pa shop, they tuned my CB/Jeep in the parking lot.

its on 202(wilmington pike), not 322(conchecter hwy).
