I have an 87 xj cherokee and ive been told the motor was replaced with a motor from a 94 that was re-built and bored .30 over. The jeep is lifted on 32's and has no gearing or anything that i know of and right now on strait highway mileage i get between 15 and 17 on highway if im lucky and gas is murder in town. Have any suggestions as to anything that could be sucking my gas down or is it just my set up? :dunno:

Just fyi the motor dosnt have any problems running at all, starts right up and drives fine

The tranny is the stock one that came in the 87 as well as the gears stock in the axles. Would changing the gearing get me better mileage? i have to move to california in a few months and may have to sell if i cant figure something out
