here is what I did for the front/rear hanger, will do something similar for the shackle hanger but not as much.

hehe, I WAS going to just plate and box in the factory stuff, it was such a hokey set-up though so I decided to just re-do them. There was like 10 or so spot welds holding all that stuff together, and to the unibody itself so I drilled them all out, ripped the stock crap off, and started with some 3/16" 1018 cold roll finish plate. I use whatever paint I have laying around, this xj has probably 10 different colors/finishes depending on what was laying around at the time.
