putting in a relay for aux. backup lights

Alright, I know this sounds nooby but I don't really understand wire-ing.
I have some fog lights mounted in the back. I might add another pair as well.
I want to ave a 3-way switch to make them atuomatically come on with the reverse lights, always off, or on whenever I want them on. I want A relay in there to protect the NSS as well. Can someone just explain what I need and how to go about doing it?

yeah I drew that up about a year ago. It was easier to just draw it on paper and take a pic of it than to try to draw it in paint or something.
