96 doors on a 98

I need to replace both driver side doors on my 98, and a board user has 2 96 doors.

Just so it is clear to me, the main difference in the 96 door is that it has the post style stricker? Can you swap latches from the 98 to the 96 door? Any other differences? I figure I would have to use the 98 harness, and door panel of course.

If it isn't a straight bolt on/parts swap affair, I will pass on the doors.
