I purchased a D44 that was partially disassembled and it did not come with the bar (steel plate ~3/16 thich) with the rectangular spring that runs from shoe to shoe along side of the wheel cylinder. I have already purchased the adjuster hardware kit and the spring kit for the brakes. Does anyone know where I can get the missing bar. Is this the same for either a D35 or a 8.25 axle? The link below shows a picture of the part that I am refering to. In the picture it is horizontally oriented below the wheel cylinder and above the axle tube opening

thanks Jim

NAPA probably has rebuild kits in back on a dusty shelf somewhere. We used to have an unusually large stock of brake hardware at the Camp Pendleton Auto Hobby Shop...it was certainly a nice source of parts for my CJ.
