shocks for net lift.

i am putting in a 2.5" replacement rear spring, and i have a 1" SHACKLE. with the added rear bumper and full size spare, can i use a shock designed for 3" and not worry about breaking it?

If you can, it is always best to remove the old shocks and take measurements at full compression and full droop. This way you are getting the right shock for your vehicle and set up.

This will also give you the oportunity to make sure your bumpstops are the right length.
