Why is there such a difference in price?

I'm getting ready to regear my front axle and I want to change the seals while I'm in there. Quadratech is about $5 each on the seals. Every chain part stor that I call is 2 and a half to 3 times that much.

Why is this?

Don't know why, but Quadratec is usually a bit cheaper for replacement parts such as this. Of course you have to pay shipping too, but you can use that much in gas just driving to a store these days.

shipping is only $5. I would have to pay tax buying them locally.

I would say buy them online... I usually don't go to the auto stores anymore.
