High Idle rev 2.5L

My friends 87 MJ is Reving high @ idle . Everything is stock . Don't have knowledge if on 2.5's there's any plug that can be disconnected / reset. so that it goes back to normal ;If that's the case or if there are a few things to check first i.e. vacumm lines etc.

Check and see if the electric stepper motor on the TB is stuck out fully extended. It can be unpluged and pushed back into the body of the assembly. I had a similar problem on a 89 MJ. But now thinking about it... is a 87 carb'd?
