Hi Lift on OEM spare tire carrier

Anybody mounted a hi lift jack on their bumper only mounted OEM swing away tire carrier? I'm thinking the weight might be a bad thing, as the whole corner of the car flexes a little a when I open it up with a 30" BFG AT on it, but maybe if I mounted it closer to the pivot point so it had less leverage on it?

I thought the oem carrier mounted to the bumper and the rear quarter...

theres that one, where it mounts to both, and also one that mounts only to the bumper.

I think the rear quarter mount one was the earlier version.

I believe you're right.. A '96 my friend was looking to buy had the bumper only version.
