I recently ran across what looked like an old Waggy frame, it had dana44 front and rear diffs but both were off-set to the passenger side. How common is this situation and is it worth it to try to salvage these diffs. I did not see a vacuum disconnect apparatus on the front.

I dont know about the front, but we're running a rear waggy 44. the perches are close enough to bolt up on an XJ. Ive actually heard that the offset pumpkin will let your ujoints wear more evenly. Im not sure if thats true, but that was their reasoning on Exteme 4x4.

they are offset like that cause of the quadratrac transfer case. the rear is close enough to work, however the front is not.

I have run these in old scouts and stuff that had the dana 18 transfer case and they are great in those.
