Verify flexplate noise

I have a knocking (like a rod knock) noise. I am going to check the bolts this afternoon.

my symptoms are as follows:
-knocking in idle and standing in gear
-good oil pressure
-not heard while driving
-new developed noise not always been there
-newer transmission from previous owner
-sounds kinda from the rear of engine but not sure

so...the four bolts were loose...all tight now.

truck runs smoother and no NOISE!

Glad it worked for you. You may want to keep an eye on it now, pretty easy to check, glad it wasn't cracked.
