Just curious if anyone knows. If I had a cps problem wouldn't I still be getting spark? I don't have a spark right now so I'm thinking it's probably a coil issue.

basicly un-plug it connect a multimeter to it and a ground source then crank the motor and if it creates a voltage signal than it is good. keep in mind it is a pulsing signal of only 5 volts or less so you will need to have a fast capture multimeter or a analog one to really see the pulses but any old one will give you a average of the pulse voltage

with a dirty cps connection you will NOT get spark in most cases....ask me how i know.....lol.

Unplug and clean the connections for the cps and it should fire right up!
