Does anyone know what thread pitch the bleed screw is or wheel cylinders on 9 inch brakes?

on my jeep it's not 3/8 x 24, or 5/16 x 24.

Im guessing 1/4 x 28, no way its metric.

the threads are quite coarse

(Ask me how I know they screws aren't 5/16 x 24)

just buy a new wheel cylinder. Raysbestos brand where only $10 for my ford 9"

x2, get a new wheel cylinder. If the bleeders were seized up and hard to remove, the cylinders probably aren't far from failure.

I'm guessing you mean the 9" brake drums, not a 9" axle. Either way, wheel cylinders aren't that expensive.

on a printable thread pitch gauge

M8x1.25
the jeep has metric bleed screws in the rear

holy fook

so for posterity, the 9 inch brakes wheel cylinders have M8 x 1.25 bleed screws

try finding that one on a search!

(ps i do have new wheel cylinders ready to install, and they have the same bleed screws as the OEM units.
