locating a discontinued part

Hi all;
I went to dealer to pick up a couple of door jamb switches (those that turn on the dome light, when the door is open), and much to my dismay, I was told that they are discontinued. I had no luck finding a replacement anywhere on-line.

I need help finding these, Where can I get these? Part numbers please.
Is bone yard my only option?
Can these switches be rebuilt? How?

Any help would be appreciated
1989 Jeep, BTW.

Below are the part numbers the dealer gave me:
Driver side switch 56000136
Other three doors 56000137

I got mine from the local jeep dealer here (89 cherokee), $12 each, fyi, gm ones are a different thread. Your parts guy sucks!!!

No kidding. He made it sound like I am SOL.
I used the part numbers he gave for doing my on-line searching. They could be the wrong numbers, or that everyone has their own part numbers without cross-reference to the OEM numbers. I don't know. I am shocked how many options I have locally and on-line.

Thanks everyone for the help. I really appreciate it.
