Adjusting shift linkage??

I have a 96 Jeep XJ, I just put a 5.5in lift on and now my 4wd High doesnt like to stay engaged. I was told to Adjust the Shift linkage, but I cant find any write-ups as to how this is done. If anyone has done this or knows how to do this and wouldnt mind giving me some dirrections as to how this is done that would be great.

you could even check a Haynes book- IIRC, it explains it fairly well..... for a Haynes!

There is a nut on the lingage you have to loosen. Then put the shifter and the t-case in the same gear and then tighten the nut. It may take some trial and error to get it right, but that's how its done. Tighten the nut when done.
