I have been troubleshooting a problem with my 90 XJ (automatic) for a few days. The posts here have been a great help! I was testing the voltage on the TPS as explained on several posts. The voltage was within specs (4.7V from A to D, 3.8V from B to D) but while I was checking the ground connection I found that both terminal D and terminal B show connectivity to ground with my meter. Is this right? I would think that just terminal D should be grounded.

Thanks for any help

How are you measuring? With the connector connected and back pinning or with the plug disconnected and measuring "B" to ground?

I believe that B will measure ground or virtually ground with the TPS in the idle position. You can verify by measuring while you rotate the sensor arm.
