Turn signal problem

Strange turn signal indicator parking light problem lately only happens once in a while;

96 xj classic manual locks manual windows auto 4x4 4.0

1- headlights off - if i turn the right signal "on" the signal indicator in the IP blinks, and dims the radio light and turns on the IP lights as if the parking or headlights were on. loud relay sounding clicking similar to headlights coming on all in time with the blinker.

2- parking or headlights on - right signal in the IP stays lit all the time. try to turn on right blinker and nothing.

left signal opertion is fine lights on or off.

had remote start installed a couple months before any wierd signs.

You may want to check your bulbs on the right side as I've had the filament break on one side and cause weird things like that.

Those problems are usually cause by a bad ground in your turn signal sockets (below the headlights)..its common. Go and pick one up at the junkyard (the best looking one you can find) and splice it in. Your problem should dissappear. If it does, then just go buy a new one and have it as a spare or replace the junkyard one... its likely the use JY one will have this problem with time.
