what year factory gas tank skid will fit my 97?

I am looking for a gas tank skid, I may end up going new, but I figure if I can get a used factory skid for cheap, it would do..... I have a 97 4dr, what years will fit?

I think that with minimal modification one from ZJ will fit.

a pre 97 OEM gas tank skid will fit with minimal modification
a post 96 OEM gas tank skid will fit with no modification
and a ZJ will fit with minimal modification

Kyle, thanks dude. I found a junk yard with a pre 97, what is required to make it fit? I also have a factory hitch.

doesn't the ZJ hang down extra than an xj?

is there any benifits or downsides to any of the 3 stockers?

you need to trim about 3/4" off the rear lip of the skid to get it to fit. All of the holes ligned up perfectly on mine i just needed to trim a bit.

Get the skid and set it up against your gas tank you will ce very clearly what needs to be trimmed off the rear.
