Grease fitting question

A few days ago I was greasing all the fittings and had problem with 2 of them. After pumping in grease till the new one began to flow.....the grease would come out from the small hole. I've never seen this before. Does this mean the part needs to be changed? Or maybe just a bad grease fitting? Hope it just needs the fitting replaced.

Thanks

Bad fitting, the check ball inside the zerk is stuck and not closing under pressure. They can be replaced, but I've never tried it. What was the fitting part of?

easy to replace

but sometimes crude gets caught in there, find someting thin enough to put in there to push the little ball. pushing on the ball sometimes reseats it and the ball will return to the closed position.
