Yesterday I finally was able to reach a happy acheivement

Front Axle rebuild.... $655
Front D/S rebuild .... $311
Rear brake ligths.... $12

1 1/2 years of driving a stout offroad capable XJ in constant 2wd...... Too long

Having my XJ ready for the trails.... Priceless, except for the part that I'm deploying back to the SH*t for 7mons sucks

so what did you get done on the axle and drive shaft?

master bearing kit, ARB rebuild kit, upgraded steeing ujoints for the axle. The front d/s was just a rebuild and balance. I can't remember, but that had to replace a couple parts on it. I'd have to look at the reciept.

Sounds like you might want to join us at Corral Canyon this weekend.
Check out the posting by Homebrew.

$311 for a DS rebuild? Who did it ? Tom Woods?

Glad you got it going! That's alot of dough for a DS. But at least it's done.

Sorry you are being deployed. Just make it home! :us:

I think it costed me $240 -$270 for a front ds balance and rebuilt slip yoke from Ray at OC Driveline. He's not as close but he's good.
