Jerk, park to drive

Lately I noticed that it jerks when I go from park to drive. It's not that hard but it's not normal, it doesn't do it often when I go in reverse. Any idea what it might be? Not sure were to begin checking..

I'll assume you mean the entire vehicle "jerks" when you move the shifter into drive?

based on that, almost any drivetrain componant could be the problem, but engine/trans mounts or rear U-joints are the most likely candidates.

Will check out the U-joints this weekend, hope it nothing more than that...

Mine does this too...only sometimes though.
