hey everyone, im sure this is always brought up but the threads i looked at wandered a bit off subject or way to difficult to comprehend.anyway... i bought this air compressor from harbor freight(http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=93186) and wanted to know if its a good starter for an OBA? im only running 31's and maybe later run 32's. If its a decent compressor, does anyone have an ideas how i could hook it up. i plan to get a 3-5 gallon auxilary tank. anyone have any links for a build similar to what im asking?
thanx:cheers:

i have one like that you can have. i have 33's and it would take about 15 mins per tire from 8 psi to 20, try the cheap 4wd hardware pump..Or you could spend even less and convert your ac pump to oba and then you can fill your tires really fast and run impact wrenches and other air tools

This is a descent write-up comparing the costco and HF compressors.

Converting the AC compressor for OBA is definitely not cheaper if you do it right. Pre-oilers, separators, etc are not cheap. The electric compressor would be technically less difficult though.

Jeep on

edit: you can't just hook it up to a tank. You need a pressure switch, check valve, pressure release valve, etc.
