Noise while slowing down

Got a mysterious noise. Did a search, but nothing matched.

When slowing down, I get a whirling noise that accompanies speed. Coming from outside the Jeep. Any ideas on what it could be? Only get it when slowing down the last 5 or 10 feet.

Was thinking maybe driveline related or hubs.

Are you auto or manual?

Put it neutral to take the load off the drivetrain.

Are you using the brakes?

Sorry, should have posted more info. 2000 Cherokee, AW4, 231 t-case. 94,xxx miles.

Haven't tried to switch out of drive, but will do.

Don't think I am on the brakes, will have to try it again and pay attention.

Allright, doesn't seem to depend on the brakes at all. Changing the diffs, t-case and tranny fluids this weekend.

Any other things I can try keep em coming.

Just bought it a little bit ago and am trying to do all the fluids.

Didn't make the noise when I purchased it.
