For the np 242 there is really only one option type: hack and tap SYE. Tom woods has you send in your output shaft for him to modify, but it's still a hack n tap. Another option is to do like Gojeep has done and hack n tap the output yourself and use a yoke designed for a cv and modify it to bolt on instead of slip. I was able to do it on my '99 for about 150 including the shaft. You have some seal issues to deal with so it may be a little higher.

For driveshaft length, the only way to really tell is to install the SYE and lift and measure for the shaft from there. There are far too many variables to give more than a "this length should work" answer.
