winch wiring

Iv searched this problem but can't seem to find an answer. I just got a superwinch X9, the problem is that it doesn't have the plug or wires for the solenoids. the guy I bought it from said id be better off putting a warn plug in it so that I can use a warn controler, plus on the trail there are better chances of somone having that one in case mine fails. my question is will the warn "pig tail" plug work on the x9. Is there anything I need to be aware of, or is it an easy swap? thanks for your help.
