new exhaust questions

just wondering about a new exhaust on my XJ should i go stock or freeflow? i do tow a trailer so i dont want to lose the bottom end "grunt" or, torque. I have heard that some free flow system can actually change the torque curve so it doesnt come on until higher revs. I need the torque for towing from a dead stop etc... any help is always appreciated

I dont think that an exhaust makes that much difference in torque. If you took the muffler off completely, then yes but with a magnaflow or flowmaster muffler you should be fine, and it shouldn't affect torque.
