my 88 stock just shuts off after driven for a long distance today i drove from 40 miles and it shut off at a light and then start right back up

i had the same problem....it was the fuel pump
you better replace it fast cuz it'll start shutting off more frequently and eventually wont start.....

CPS sensor is a likely candidate.

It's been my experience that CPS dies but does not want to restart until a few hours later
