Yes I know, I am full of them. This is prolly gonna sound reeeeally stupid but my XJ came with after market rims (no idea what brand). When I measured the rims they were 16 1/2 inches, but the tire reads for 15 inch rims. I am pretty sure it is 15 inches, but why would it measure 16 1/2? Thanks in advance.

i am asuming you measured the outside lip, but the actuall bead of the tire sits on the barrel of the wheel which measures 15in so if you measure the inside of the wheel towards the outer edege you will get a better measurement.
