detroit thump..?

yukon 4.56 gears and new detroit no slip in 8.25. letting off throttle when coming to a stop, letting off throttle then hitting throttle again, hearing a thump. was told this is normal for the detroit unloading etc. is this correct? thanks steve

Yep, mine does it all the time. Kinda have to re-learn how to drive with a Detriot rear, but you get used to it. It's fun correcting for the torque steer when you have the cruise on also.

Edit: Coast around corners if you can, they don't like accellerating out of a corner and tend to lock up, sometimes not in a fun way.

Sometimes it may be a thump, click or POP, which sounds like broken parts. no worries though

Keep the fluid nice and changed while the gearset and diff are breaking in.

Torque steer is fun and you'll get used to it. If you have a Auto, consider yourself lucky
