Drive Shaft lengths

How long is the front drive shaft off a lp auto, 4.0 cherokee over an hp. Just did the sye and i used an hp d/s and it is rather short at 5" lift. Thanks

the lp is what i run off a 2000 xj with the auto. It is right about an inch longer than the hp driveshaft.

I did run the hp driveshaft with my sye and 5 inches for well over a year, and never had it come apart though.

HP and LP driveshafts are the same(down to the part#).

the part number may be the same NighthawkXJ said the low pinion 200 xj shaft is about an inch longer the shaft he is talking about came off my wifes 2000 xj laid it side by side with the one off my hi pinion 1993 xj fully compressed the low pinion shaft was an inch longer

Cant explain that one my 2000 and my 95 are the same???

i thought the lp had a shorter pinion than the hp?
