removing factory rear nutserts

Aren't the gas tank skid plate nutserts suppose to just lift out once unbolted?

The driver's side is semi rusted in place and I understand that, but it seems like I am playing tug of war with the passenger side nutsert. I can grab the bumper end and wiggle it around, but something is holding it at the other end.

Sub frame trolls screwing with me?

no they are not...learned the hard way....if its a factory tank skid and the nut strip hasnt been removed there is a rivet near the end of the strip...what i did was is thread one bolt in and use a long screwdriver to break the rivet(or u can just drill it out) then they should slid right out

I had the same experiance last weekend, and drilled the rivet out. Look for a ~.5" rivet head near last bolt (towards the front of the jeep).
