Dex III or Mobil 1 Syn ATF in my NP-231?

I did a search and havent found a straight answer. Some members swear by the Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF, some say to use the Dex III.

Which one is correct? Or does it really matter?

5-30 MOTOR OIL .... same viscocity and doesnt fome or bubble when churned ... like ATF

but it using ATF = ATF+4 compatable

I use DEXIII, But never have heard of 5w30 oil in the TC, but I can't see why It would hurt...

By friend stupidly called to the dealership and they told him to put in gear oil, so he did. Don't know if it mattered, but 4wd wasn't working for the past 1 year b4 he sold the junk.

I use DEXIII also... Since its the only thing that makes the AW4 happy, its just that much easier to use it in the TC.

Dex3, Why have different stuff laying around?
