Rockkrawler long arm mounting issues

I e-mailed dc4wd for a price quote on rockkrawler 3 link for 89 cherokee and got this respons

The 89 model there is something about the mounting location of the frame
brackets that they say will only work on a 91 and up but I have sold it
to the older crowd as well it just needs a little massaging to get it to
fit up.

Does anyone have experience or pictures as to what these issues are and if they will still work?

It has to do with where the tranny crossmember mounts on the frame. Call RK and they will tell you where to measure...one simple measurement ......which off the top of my head was 14" from somewhere to somewhere?????

89xjgrey has one on his 89. went on fine with no "massaging" he got it from ironrock. looks to be a ok set up flexes well, but i like my TNT LA even though it double the price
