ok, got replacement shock eye bushing but having a hell of a time trying to get them in the shock. any secret techniques? heat em up?? freeze them??? the just won't go in as is..

install shock eye bushings??

Boil a coffee cup of water in the microwave. Pull out the cup and drop in the bushing. By the time you get back to the shop it will be soft enough for you to press it in. Cleaning up your shock with emery and a little grease will also help.

those bushings are not soft.... boiling five munites and they still being a behatch

Find a socket as big as the eye on the shock and a bfh. Put the eye over the socket. the bushing over the eye and swing away. i can usually do it in two swings. mind you be carefull not to swing so hard as to damage your shock... course that may give you an excuse to upgrade :thumbup:
