Wont start 95 xj.

My dad just called me. Him and my bro are stuck in a pick and save parking lot in WI. I am in CO. His 95 XJ sport wont start. He turns the key and hears the fuel pump but that is is. No click or roll over. Guage reads 12 volts. error codes read 13. CPS maybe?

Are you saying it won't crank? If thats what your saying and it's got an automatic, try it in neutral.

Might be the park-neutral safety switch. I''ve bypassed it by leaving the key turned. pop the hood, pull the cover from the starter relay, and press down on the contact with your finger- should turn right over.

error code 13
No difference recognized between the engine MAP reading and the barometric (atmosphere) pressure reading from start-up.
