Made Some Sliders

Decided to make some sliders. The weld in style.
I thought the worst part was cutting out the rockers.

I plan on getting some DOM and putting some rails on. Maby this summer its getting cold.

The best part was when I was in the process of cutting the rockers and my dad walked out and said "what the hell are you doing that for, those were fine how they were!". And I replied " You just don't understand".

Looks nice, how exactly are they attached though, just welded to where the rocker was cut?

What size of stock did you use? I am planning on doing the same thing after the first of the year.

I used 2x4 3/16.
For now thier just welded where i cut the old rockers out, when i put on the DOM im also going to make some frame tie ins.

not fun, small stich welds to try and keep from burning through, not pretty but it worked out

Wish I had fab skills, all I can do is break stuff. Looks good.

Are you going to add some flat plate between your slider, and the unibody?
