4.0L Swap

anything is possible. It just depends on the amount of work you are willing to put into it. You will also need to change the wiring harness and may have some issues getting the gagues to read correctly.

just swap the long block, keep your stock intake/exhaust and senders

x2!

my brothers 89 MJ has a long block from a 97 TJ in it. it runs like a bat out of hell. 97 block and head with Stock 89 intake, computer and all related senders/sensors bolted to it.

no harder than swapping 94XJ motors. if you have any doubts, re-use your 94 sensors to make sure everything plugs in the same.

as for the intake, the 99 would be an upgrade. to some searching on here for it and you'll see what's needed.

i would keep the 94 exhaust manifold.

or if you want it real simple, re-use the 94 sensor, exhaust manifold and intake.

oh you'll also have to re-use the 94 distributor, because the 99 is going to be distributorless ignition.
