fuel problems

ok i was sittin at a friends house talkin to them and looked at my fuel hand and it droped below "E" then went back up then droped slowly then went back up and so forth, what could be the problem for this? its a 98 cherokee

bad or intermittent ground connection or bad signal from the float

ok u say ground? the battery terminal? if its a bad signal from the float what could i do to fix it?

If it bothers you replace the fuel level sender (pretty common issue). Part # CBK17552.
