Lolo Pass

I ran up Lolo pass on Monday night as its right around the corner from my house. The snow was 1.5 - 2 feet deep a few others where up running around too. Once I hit the pass it was fresh tracks so I ran down the other side into the valley where there are a few places to play under the power lines. Lower down the hill there was a layer of solid ice under the snow making the way back up impossible. Even a slight pitch put me in the ditch and with the loggin they have done some parts of the ditch would make getting out alone pretty tough.
I ended up going down to parkdale (Hood river valley) and all the way around the mtn to get home.
LESSON: Buy Chains for snow wheeling.

You don't need chains...you just need more snow friendly tires and low air pressure.

Those crazy WA guys are right, TrXus MT's rock the XXXX in the snow.

We ran over Saturday, 2ft deep of fun sticky snow. Also made it in to Lost Lake. Nobody but snowmobile's.

Very nice. I've always been interested in doing Lolo in the snow. Hopefully next year...
