89 4L XJ engine is ticking

Your ticking is probably your lifters, or a cracked exaust manifold. Is it a mechanical sounding ticking? Like metal to metal?

Not to hijack, but I have fine oil pressure and I have pretty bad blow-by. I have a 2.5L with 220,000 miles. I'm pretty sure thats why I have blow-by, but is there anything I could do to lessen it?
 
Seafoam cleans out sludge in your oil. Don't leave it in there for too long (couple days/100 miles).

Check your exhaust manifold though, it could still be a small crack in that.
 
Marvel mystery oil. I put it in my 88. It had a bad tick and I ran it for a few days of hard driving. Changed the oil and the ticking has been gone ever since.
