Id like to change my slipyoke out for a yj or re extended one. Will it fit on my late 92 with a np242 case? I only see them advertised for np231's.

simple slip yoke question

This is kinda backwards....most people want a SHORTER output shaft - i.e., a slip yoke eliminator. Why on earth would you want to go longer???

Not really looking to change it out for length reasons. The ears on the yj slip yoke are different and can handle more angles before binding up. Thats the actual reason I am looking for swap it out.

Yes, the 231 and 242 have the same output shaft dimensions in that area. I ran a YJ yoke on my 92 242 until I did my H&T.87baseomatic said:

Its also the same yoke used on late model XJ's.

i run a yj slip yoke on my 89 and theres alot more clearancing around the ears, its also 5/8" longer...
